For safety reasons, a mother is not allowed to travel in the same container as her weaned or unweaned offspring.

Domestic destinations with restriction for travel of live animals:
Your animal is considered as accepted once the air waybill has been issued and all inspections required by Aeroméxico and the local government have been duly completed.
Your animal will be available for Pickup 2.5 hours after actual landing time for the selected flight; except for force majeure events beyond Aeromexico Cargo's control that hinder from meeting this time, e.g., heavy storm at the station, road closures to vehicular traffic, etc.
Animals not picked up on time will incur in additional care expenses. Both shipper and consignee will be responsible for all charges incurred for additional care.
The number of animals that may be documented per flight is limited. Please confirm your plans as soon as possible.
Please be sure to include an appropriate size kennel.
The use of sedatives or tranquilizer medications is not allowed on cats and dogs.
We do not recommend using sedatives or tranquilizer medications on other species, as the effects thereof at extreme altitudes is unpredictable and can impact the health of your animal. Contact your vet for more information.
Pets up to 3 months old must submit a health certificate and vaccination register.
We recommend that your pet be well exercised prior to check-in process. Please do not leave a leash inside the kennel.
Please check the temperature prior to travel to airport and verify that the temperature for that day meets the temperature policies set forth by Aeroméxico Cargo.
Aeroméxico Cargo, following the principle of animal welfare, has established temperature restrictions so that transported animals are not exposed to extreme temperatures, either high or low, while they remain in areas where they are kept at the terminal facilities, during transfer from the terminal to the aircraft or while they are inside the aircraft waiting for takeoff.
For common transit species such as dogs, cats, roosters, fish, snakes, mice, bumblebees, turtles, minimum temperature allowed is 7 °C (44 °F), while the maximum temperature is 35 °C (95 °F). For transportation of non-common species, please contact one of our representatives for further information.
If temperatures at the time of flight are outside of acceptable established parameters, travel for animals will not be allowed.
Disclaimers issued by customers are not accepted.
Extreme temperatures represent a potential risk for your pet.

i. Selecting the right kennel is a critical factor in pet travel, to reduce their stress levels during flight.
ii. Purchase kennel with sufficient time prior to travel. Vets recommend using the kennel at home, leaving the door open with a toy or an item of your pet's liking inside so they begin to familiarize with the space.

i. Kennel must be manufactured out of rigid material with a solid roof and side ventilation.
ii. Kennels with plastic doors or plastic locks are not accepted. All kennels must be joined with side screw fasteners (nuts and bolts).
iii. If necessary, removable straps will be placed in holes or doors to secure the kennel and avoid escapes. Do not padlocks on the doors of the kennel, the animal should be easily released in case of emergency.
vi. If its container has been used previously, it must be carefully disinfected or sterilized.
v. The dimensions of the kennel must be of the proper size so that the animal can stand, sit, turn and lie in a natural position.

ii. We recommend including two clean, empty dishes (one for water and another for food) secured to the inside of the kennel, yet accessible from the outside without having to open the door:
iii. Single piece dishes are allowed provided they contain a two-parts separator.
iv. Water bottles are allowed, provided they remain securely fastened to the outside of the kennel and if they can be refilled without opening the door. Either way, the general recommendation is to include a separate dish to be used for food as specified earlier.
e. Absorbent material.
i. The kennel must be equipped with absorbent material on the floor. We recommend using towels, cloth rags, or newspaper to line the floor, though when using newspaper, please be sure that ink is not toxic for your pet.

iii. Cat litter is not allowed.
