Shipment of these items can be a complex procedure that requires detailed documentation and special handling. Restrictions and Regulations
- i. All international shipments are governed under the IATA shipment rules. Shipper is responsible for meeting all these rules.
- ii. Additional government regulations may apply, and they may vary according to location. Make sure all shipments or documents meet local regulations.
- iii. Aircraft limitations apply. Maximum weight on narrow-body aircraft is 100 kg per piece.
Acceptance, Documentation and Pickup
- i. Shipments must be accepted and processed at the local ticketing counter up to 360 minutes (6 hours) prior to estimated departure time. We recommend arriving at least 420 minutes (7 hours) prior to departure to make sure you have enough time to process all inspections and acceptance procedures.
- ii. General shipments must be checked-in at the Aeroméxico Cargo local office (located near the terminal).
- iii. Your cargo is considered accepted after the air waybill has been issued, provided there are no wrong statements or any goods considered not valid for transportation, and all inspections required by Aeromexico and the local government have been completed.
- iv. Shipments will be available for pickup 2.5 hours after actual landing time for the selected flight; except for any force majeure or events beyond Aeromexico Cargo's control that hinder from meeting this time, e.g., heavy storm at the station, road closures to vehicular traffic, etc.
- v. Each item of the shipment must be clearly labeled including name and address of shipper and recipient. Remove all prior labels and markings.
