High Technology

1. Shipments using Aeroméxico Cargo High Technology may have optional declaration of value to be insured; if so, they will be subject to a valuation charge.
2. Shipments valued over MX$ 1,000,000.00 per air waybill are subject to special approval.
3. Lithium ion/metal batteries packaged on their own (i.e., not contained within equipment or packaged with equipment) are not allowed for transport.

Shipments containing lithium ion/metal cells/batteries are considered hazardous materials and are governed under current IATA regulations:

4. Shipments containing lithium ion/metal batteries that are defective or being sent for repair will not be accepted.

5. Acceptance of shipment shall be subject to the following conditions:

   • · UN 3481 Lithium-ion cells/batteries contained in equipment, i.e., installed in equipment, e.g., a cell phone with battery in place.
   • · UN 3481 Lithium-ion cells/batteries packaged with equipment, i.e., packed in the same packaging as the device, e.g., a laptop with removed battery, but in the same box.
   • · UN 3091 Lithium-ion cells/batteries contained in equipment, i.e. installed in equipment, e.g., a cell phone with battery in place.
   • · UN 3091 Lithium-ion cells/batteries packaged with equipment, i.e., packed in the same packaging as the device, e.g., a laptop with removed battery, but in the same box.
     
     
     Marked stations that have permits to handle specifically the following goods deemed as hazardous by AM: COMAT / AOG, Dry Ice as coolant and goods that do not require DGD.
     
     

6. Dimensions (length x width x height) and weight of shipment must not exceed aircraft limitations. Individual restrictions apply, according to the type of equipment used in flight. (See Fleet)

7. All shipments are subject to provisions of the general cargo contract and provisions of the Civil Aviation Act in force. Shipper is responsible for ensuring that the shipment complies with such provisions.

1. Your cargo is considered as accepted, once the air waybill has been issued and all inspections required by Aeroméxico and the local government have been duly completed.
2. Your shipment will be available for pickup 2.5 hours after the actual landing time for the selected flight; except for force majeure events beyond Aeromexico Cargo's control that hinder from meeting this time, e.g., heavy storm at the station, road closures to vehicular traffic, etc.
3. Each item of your shipment must be clearly labeled, including name and address of shipper and recipient.
4. Recycled or repurposed cardboard boxes are not accepted, or printed boxes that do not correspond to the products contained in them (e.g., egg boxes).

1. Shipments must be adequately packaged to ensure safe transportation.
   • · Rigid cardboard, wooden, or metal box.
   • · Exterior wooden grating
   • · Cushioning material
   • · Plastic coating (Vitafilm)
2. Packaging must be undamaged at the time of check-in.
3. Packaging must be properly sealed and strapped.
4. Exterior wooden grating is intended to prevent direct impact and damage to the contents of the shipment.
5. If equipment contains lithium ion/metal batteries, please consider the following:
   • · If the package is visibly damaged, it will require additional inspection and/or repackaging.
   • · If necessary, place lithium batteries label according to relevant labeling instructions.
