Restrictions and Regulations
1. Exclusive service for funeral agencies (both shipper and consignee)
2. All shipments are subject to the provisions of the general cargo contract and the provisions of the current Civil Aviation Act. Shipper is responsible for ensuring that the shipment complies with such provisions.
3. Aeroméxico Cargo Human Remains is a domestic service restricted to destinations that have no ground segments available on the Aeroméxico Cargo network within Mexico.
4. Certain regulations and documentation requirements, in addition to what is published here may apply. Please make sure your shipment complies with all local regulations.
5. Shipment dimensions (length x width x height) and weight must not exceed aircraft limitations. (See Fleet)
6. No containers with damage, markings, leaks or smells will be accepted.
7. Flowers, plants or produce may not be included inside the coffin.
Check-in, Acceptance and Pickup
1. Human remains must be accepted and processed by the local ticketing counter at least 6 hours prior to estimated flight departure time.
2. Your cargo is considered as accepted once the air waybill has been issued and all inspections required by Aeroméxico and the local government have been duly completed.
3. Your shipment will be available for pickup 3 hours after the actual landing time for the selected flight; except for force majeure events beyond Cargo's control that hinder from meeting this time, e.g., heavy storm at the station, road closures to vehicular traffic, etc.
4. MANDATORILY, all documentation must be clearly placed and displayed outside of the container. If documents are inside the container, it will not be accepted.
5. Non cremated or exhumed remains
  - a. Death certificate (original and 2 copies).
  - b. Certificate for corpse embalming with seal from the documenting funeral home, including signature of the issuing physician (original and 2 copies).
  - c. If applicable, include proof of corpse exhumation with seal from documenting funeral home and signature of the issuing physician (original and 2 copies).
  - d. Sanitary transfer permit.
  - e. For States where authorities do not issue a sanitary transfer permit or proof of exhumation, documentation supporting this fact, including seals and signatures, must be included.
  - f. Certificate of delivery for the corpse issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the place of origin, in case Human Remains have been subject to a preliminary investigation.
6. Incinerations, cremations, or ashes.
  - a. Covered urn, using carton or wooden box.
  - b. Deceased's name and last name.
  - c. Buffer material.
  - d. Complete shipper and consignee information.

Packaging and Special Handling
1. Non cremated or exhumed remains
  - a. Casket covered with waxed cardboard (new, reused cardboard will not be accepted).
  - b. Legend labeled "HEAD" indicating the right position to be placed, shipper and consignee data, as well as full name of the deceased.
  - c. Original shipping information.
  - d. Wooden base with handles.
2. Incinerations, cremations, or ashes.
  - a. Covered urn, using carton or wooden box.
  - b. Deceased's name and last name.
  - c. Buffer material.
  - d. Complete shipper and consignee information.
